Tiphany, Although I haven't had the privledge to meet the women who gave up so much for our country. Clearly your husband was a hero and it is my honor to create this tribute page to honor him. It is also intended to honor you & your children as you will sacrifice every day without a husband and a father for all your time here on earth. It is clear from watching the pictures, that the private life of Andy was as nobel as the now public life. He loved, respected and adored all three of you..you can see it in the pictures! I hope this helps you, your family and Andy's friends and colleague in Iraq in some small way. As I can't express how much I appreciate my children's safety & Security and the love of my husband everyday thanks to your husband and his comrades. Erin Davis Memorable Moments Slide Show Albums

Dear Family: There are no words to express how my family feels for the loss that you are suffering. Please know that our family appreciates and is indebted to you for what Andy did to protect us. War is hell as they say, but by our fighting over there, these GREAT men and women in the armed services are keeping all of us safe here in the United States. This enables us to keep our freedoms and raise our children and enjoy our way of life. Obviously, Andy felt the same. Thank you so much for these videos as they have put a face and human touch to what a wonderful person Andy was. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless you and may He help you through this sad time. Respectfully, The Olligschlager Family - Toledo, Ohio

Tiphany and family, my heart sunk when my father called to notify me of the news. The sacrifice he made will never be forgotten. There has not been a day since he and Trav were deployed that I have not thought of them both and their families (my family). Lean on those that are there for you when you need to, because that is what friends and family are for. You are all in my prayers and the prayers of many others. May memories soften the pain, and love keep them alive. (Tara, Travie's big sister)

Letter From Heaven To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say. But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness. Here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you. It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone. I need you here badly, you're part of my plan. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man." God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight, God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over, I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb. But together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain then you can say to God at night, "My day was not in vain." And now I am contented that my life was worthwhile. Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go. When you're walking down the street and you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it's time for you to go from that body to be free, remember you're not going you're coming here to me. Tiphany and all of Andys family, we pray daily for the Lord to comfort you in your loss. Andy will always hold a special place deep within our hearts. He truly is a hero.God Bless...The Burgers

What a beautiful tribute to a great Man husband and father. My son has served with your husband as a member of the 983rd (as a member of Alpha Co). Matt was home on leave when word came of you loss Please know how deeply affected our entire family is by your family's loss. They say that if, in a man's life time he touches the life of 1 person than he has been a success. I hope that you and your family know that Andy has touched the lives of every wife, parent sibling and child in the 983rd and your loss has been deeply felt by all of us. Your children have a great legacy in the 983rd. When they return home they can be a great asset in reminding your very young children what a wonderful soldier and father they have. Dear Eckert Family: I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Though I don't know you personally this tragedy has deeply affected my life. My name is Rachel Kinneberg and my best friend is SGT Ryan Cossette. Ryan was in the front of the humvee that your husband was traveling in. Ryan was lucky enough to survive and is at a VA Hospital in Kentucky. He is scheduled to come back home this week. I still feel like this whole thing is a bad dream. I wish you didn't have to go through the pain you must be suffering. As Army wives we have a strength that many don't have and I hope you are able to stay strong through this whole ordeal. My husband too is in the Army Reserves and is currently deployed. I am constantly worried that something like this will happen to him. I wish no one ever had to go through this pain. I want you to know that I think about your family every single day. I will cherish all the moments that I get to spend with Ryan, because I know one second different and he may have been the one that was killed. Thank you for your service as an Army wife. I hope that somehow you get through this. I'm sure you have a great support system, but if you ever need anything, please email me at phillrachel925@hotmail.com. You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. Take care of yourself. Rachel Kinneberg West Fargo, North Dakota

Although you may not remember me, I most certainly remember Andy and his wife Tiphany. I remember seeing Marlee when we arrived back from overseas and how cute she was. Although I have been unable to stay in touch as I would like, your loss hurt me as well. Of all the fine men and women that I served with in Iraq, Andy was one of the few who always tried to stay upbeat about it. He most certainly is a hero, not just because of the current situation, but for how he kept morale up while we were farthest from the place that we most wanted to be. Our daughters were born not too far apart, so I know how much it must have hurt to be away from her and his family. My heart and my prayers go out to the Eckert Family, and to all the men and women we have lost to terrorism. With Heartfelt Condolences, Specialist Bryan R. Fuller B CO 863rd EN BN US Army Reserve

How touched I was by your beautiful tribute to your loved one. I grieve each time I hear of one of our soldiers falling on the field of battle. My husband served in Vietnam, and is gone now, so I understand the life of a military family, although he was not so young as your dear husband.
I pray for our men and women in uniform often and will pray for your sweet family, as you must go on without him. The Lord is sufficient for all your needs, but I know the suffering along the way. Your husband would be so proud of you, it is obvious from the photos he loved you all very much.

Wow.... where to begin!  I am extremely sorry for your lose.  My heart and prayers will be with your family.  As I understand the fear of having a loved one over seas.  I couldn't help but cry every time I viewed the slide show.  He was so young and had a huge life in front of him.  I thank him and your family highly.  To all the fallen soldiers and the ones brave enough to fight.  You have my heart!

Tiphany,

As an Army Vet, I want to thank you for the sacrifices you and you're family have given to keep this GREAT
country free! Not only in the sense of our personal freedoms, but free from the enemies that hate us and
would love to destroy us and our spreading of democracy to the rest of the world!

As a father of 3 children (2 of which are about your children's ages), I'm sorry for the loss to your
children. And, as a husband - I'm sorry for the lossof your spouse. I wish I could do something more for
you! If you ever need someone to talk to, please feel free to e-mail me at any time.

I certainly am no hero. I've never had to go to war. I spent most of time (4 yrs.) overseas, but pretty much
out-of-harms way. I thank God for men like your husband! I almost lost a a brother in Iraq from a
mortar round. God bless you, your family, and Andy!

Bill
